Blackbird Vineyards is an artisanal producer of Bordeaux-inspired wines from Napa Valley. Blackbird's entry-level red is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel. Marked by scents of black cherries, dried herbs and a hint of red berries on the nose, the 2021 Arise Proprietary Red is medium to full-bodied, supple and silky but not that deep or rich. Still, it offers ample pleasure, with a long, vibrant finish.
